Exosun in partnership with Lesedi for an enhanced BBBEE level and high local content
Since establishing its presence on the African continent in 2015 through the registration of its Cape Town subsidiary, Exosun has been very active in business development, understanding the capabilities of the local market and developing its manufacturing capacity in view of upcoming projects in the Sub Saharan region. In 2016, Exosun secured its first MW project in Namibia.
The aspiration of Exosun to partner with a reputable industry stakeholder combined with Lesedi's interest to explore renewable energy opportunities and new markets has been finalized in a partnership agreement in line with Exosun's mandate to transfer: plant design, trackers manufacturing and sales activities of its single axis tracker Exotrack HZ in the Southern African Area.

French solar tracker pioneer and leader since 2007, Exosun has deployed nearly 200 MW in France for a number of major market players such as La Compagnie du Vent, Groupe GDF Suez, and NEOEN. Pursuing our international expansion, we opened a Brazil subsidiary in 2015 through a joint venture with Ecoluz Part. SA, a Brazilian group, leader in energy services.
Our companies have partnered to offer our clients, international and local EPCs and IPPs, the fastest and most efficient global solutions to maximize solar plant returns. Exoun contributes its know-how in solar tracking and Ecoluz its 27 years of expertise in energy engineering services in Brazil, as well as its local experience in PV plants.
Exosun Brazil commercializes and supplies solar tracking systems, along with engineering support services covering the complete life cycle of a solar plant, from the project design phase up to tracker installation, commissioning, and O&M.
As a fabless company, Exosun brings its unique ability to transfer its tracker technology to qualified local component manufacturing companies, in order to always deliver on-time with the shortest and most efficient supply chain. Exosun has developed partnerships with Brazilian manufacturers to ensure local high quality production of at least 80% of its tracker value, in full alignment with Brazilian local content expectations. As a result, Exosun Brazil’s customers benefit from advantageous financing programs set up for the solar industry by the BNDES (Brazilian National Development Bank), including the FINAME.
With this local establishment in collaboration with an experience Brazilian solar energy specialist, Exosun is now ready to serve the booming Brazilian market.
In Partnership with ATEC Architecture
Since November 2016, Exosun solar tracking technology is available on the Chinese Market through our partner ATEC , a major Chinese solar mounting system manufacturer and installer .
ATEC Architecture, who has already manufactured and installed +7,000 MW of fixed, mounting structures on Chinese PV plants, brings its know-how in local industrial production, and Exosun contributes its expertise in solar tracking.
